Notice: Partial Gallery Closure

Good news! The Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence is having some upgrades done! Over the next couple months, the roof is being replaced, and we are getting brand new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. This is a big step forward in protecting our museum’s artifact collection, but it does mean that we need to move some things around.

Beginning on October 22 and continuing until mid-December, our ‘aircraft room’ in the museum will be transformed into artifact storage so that work can continue in the main storage area. Unfortunately this means that our CT-133 cockpit, CF-100 engine, and some other artifacts will be unavailable until the construction is over, but around 80% of the museum is still fully available to explore. Thank you for your patience and continued support, and we look forward to your visit!

Notice: Updated Fee Schedule

The Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence (CFMAD) is committed to continuing to provide access to the museum free of charge to visitors without the service of a guided tour, and museum staff will continue to be available to share stories about air defence.

In order to align ourselves with industry standard for museums, CFMAD will be implementing a structured fee schedule for groups booking as of June 1, 2019. As always, veterans, serving members, and cadet units will receive guided tours free of charge. The Education Programs for Grades 3-9 are remaining at their current fee.

The new fee structure is as follows:

Education Programs (Guided Tour + Activity)

$5.00 per child/activity participant

1 adult per every 10 children required, with free admission, $3.50 per additional adult

Minimum fee equivalent of 10 activity participants = $50.00

Bus driver free

Guided Tour (10+ participants)

$3.50 per participant

In the case of youth groups, 1 adult per every 10 children required, with free admission, $3.50 per additional adult

Bus driver free; in the case of a commercial group booking (i.e. bus tour), tour escort free

These prices are inclusive of HST.

For groups that may include veterans or serving members, it will be the responsibility of the tour facilitators to identify those individuals within their group.  Free admission to cadets is only applicable when visiting as part of a cadet unit, and does not apply to Education Programs.

Please contact us at 705-494-2011 extension 2261 if you have any questions

Thank you, and we look forward to your next visit to CFMAD!
