An essential part of Canadian air defence its entire life, RCAF Station North Bay opened on September 1, 1951, as a fighter base, later adding radar, surface-to-air missile and electronic warfare training and operations.

Now known as 22 Wing/CFB North Bay, it is home of the Canadian Air Defence Sector, and responsible for all air sovereignty operations.

This poster was created for the 75th anniversary of what we know as 22 Wing/CFB North Bay. It features 75 images from 1951 to modern day, highlighting the variety of aircraft, equipment, trades, and significant moments that have contributed to a long and distinguished history.
